Correct the plate. Do not redraw the survey.

Every volume holds plates that are nearly right. The pose is surveyed correctly. The light is true. The garment belongs to a different pack. The editor exists for exactly those plates. State the correction in plain words — wardrobe, room, light, a single detail — and the plate is redrawn with that correction made and everything else left standing. Editing costs 21 credits a job, shown before you confirm, and the original is never overwritten: it rests in your account beside its corrected edition.

The discipline here mirrors cartography itself. A surveyor who finds one coastline misdrawn does not resurvey the continent; the sheet is corrected at the error and reissued. Editors who ask for five corrections at once are not editing — they are commissioning a new plate at an editing price, and the drift they get back is the predictable result.

The working rhythm

1

Choose plates worth correcting

Strong composition, wrong details. A plate whose whole composition has failed costs more to correct than to redraw, and pride is a poor reason to spend credits.

2

One correction per job

A single instruction keeps the rest of the plate still and the cost predictable. Three corrections at once unsettle precisely the parts you wanted preserved.

3

Compare editions, keep the better

Original and correction rest side by side. Ship the winner. The other costs nothing further and asks nothing of you.

Corrections most often commissioned

Wardrobe

One plate, three garments

The same pose dressed for three different packs. The quickest multiplication a catalogue knows.

Room

The setting resurveyed

Bedroom to hotel suite to bare studio wall, without moving the woman or the light that holds her.

Light

The hour redrawn

Daylight to evening, flat to dramatic — a plate regraded so it sits quietly among the volume it is joining.

Instructions that hold

Wardrobe

“Change the ivory robe to deep emerald satin. Keep the pose, the hair and the lamplight exactly as they are.”

The correction is named, and everything else is explicitly protected. The words “keep exactly” are cheap insurance, and they work.

Room

“Move the scene to a marble hotel bathroom in warm mirror light. The subject and her pose do not change.”

One environment, moved once. A new room, a new garment and a new pose in a single job is a new plate, and should be briefed as one.

How much does an edit cost?

21 credits per job, shown before you confirm. Correcting a keeper is normally cheaper than redrawing and rejudging a whole set. The daily check-in 6 credits cover standard plates, not edits, so budget edits from a balance or a pack.

Does an edit replace my original?

No. The correction is a new edition of the plate. The original rests untouched, and both remain yours.

How many changes may one job carry?

One. Stacked changes unsettle the very parts you asked to keep, and the plate drifts off its survey.

May I edit uploaded photographs?

Yes — your own photographs, under the same consent rules as every upload in the studio.

The edit missed. What now?

Narrow the instruction, and name what must stay identical. Vagueness is the usual cause of a drifting correction.
